A woman jumped into a water tank to save her minor son who had accidentally fell into it but both of them drowned in Nagaur district of Rajasthan, police said today.
The incident occurred in Panchla Siddha village in Khinvsar area.
Ashish Vishnoi, 5, was playing near the water tank and accidentally fell into it. Her mother, Kiran, 26, jumped to his rescue but she also drowned, police said.
The bodies were fished out and handed over to family after post-mortem.
