Woman killed, 2 injured in scuffle in J&K

A woman was killed and two others were seriously injured in a scuffle between two families in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said today.

Three persons, identified as Ram Kumar, Sanjay Kumar and Mukesh Kumar, attacked a family with sharp-edged weapons, killing Shakuntla Devi on the spot, in Bhalla area of the district yesterday, a police officer said.

Two other members of Devi's family were also injured, the officer said.

Police have arrested two persons from a nearby forest area and a hunt is on for the third accused.

A case under various sections of the Ranbir Penal Code, the officer said.
