Woman killed and cremated by in-laws

According to the FIR lodged by the victim's brother, the woman, Purnima Dubey, was murdered by her in-laws last night following an altercation and was cremated this morning without her family being informed.

Purnima, whose husband is employed in Mumbai, was living with her three children and in-laws, who allegedly frequently harassed her, officials said.

Police have arrested Purnima's father-in-law Ramakant Dubey and mother-in-law Champa Devi on the charge of murder under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code. PTI CORR SAB PG EKA
