Woman kills self, children in a suicide pact

A woman allegedly killed her two daughters before committing suicide owing to financial problems at Ulsoor in the city last night, police said today.

Police said Renuka (34), a lab technician in a private firm, hanged her daughters Pavani (10 months) and Nishtha (six years) from the ceiling before ending her life.

Her husband Hemanth Kumar, a software engineer, had a loan of Rs 35 lakh while their savings were nil.

Seeing a bleak future for her children Renuka took the drastic step, they said.
