Four persons have been booked for allegedly molesting and thrashing a woman in Mahakiya village, police said here today.
According to police, accused Lal Singh and three others entered the victim's house yesterday and molested her but when she protested they thrashed her, Inspector Ravindra Singh said.
The accused also threatened to kill her, he added.
An FIR has been filed in this connection under IPC sections 307 (attempt to murder) and section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), the police official said.
Efforts are underway to arrest the accused, he further said.
