A 42-year-old woman passenger with a respiratory condition was found dead in an aircraft soon after it landed here, airport sources said.
The woman, Anita, was coming to this city from Kolkata for treatment at a hospital.
The flight crew found her motionless in her seat as passengers began to disembark and alerted the airport officials, the sources said.
A medical team examined her and pronounced her dead.
The cause of death was suspected to be cardiac arrest, they said.
The body was later taken to a government hospital in Chromepet.
