Woman raped in Haryana

A 19-year-old woman was allegedly raped by a youth in Saudhora here, police said today.

The accused, identified as Harsh (21), was absconding, they said.

The woman allegedly tried to commit suicide by consuming some poisonous substance yesterday. She was admitted to the civil hospital where her condition was stated to be out of danger, police said.

A case has been registered against the accused in connection with the incident, they said, adding that efforts are on to nab him.
