A woman was allegedly raped inside a shop here late last night, police said today.
The woman, who hails from Punjab, in her police complaint has alleged that one Sunil Kumar, a resident of Sector 23 here, raped her at a shop in Sector 22.
The accused, known to the victim, had threatened the woman with dire consequences if she reported the matter, police said.
A case under various IPC sections, including 376 (rape), has been registered against the accused, they said.
