A 45-year-old woman, who was attacked by an elephant a couple of days ago in Valparai in the district, succumbed to injuries in the Government Hospital here today, police said.
The woman was hurled to the ground by the elephant who lifted her with its trunk when she fell down while trying to flee from it at Karunjolai on Friday last.
Locals managed to drive away the pachyderm and rushed her to the Government hospital here but she succumbed to her injuries today, police said.
