A 46-year-old lady was shot dead by an unidentified bike-borne assailant in Najafgarh area this evening, police said.
The deceased, Manju Wadhwa, was working with BSES and was returning to her home when the assailant shot her thrice around 5.30 PM, police said.
Wadhwa was rushed to a hospital where she was declared brought dead by the doctors, they said.
Police is probing whether the attack had any relationship with the ongoing gang wars in the area or it was a fallout of any personal enmity, they added.
Police is also looking for CCTV footage from adjoining areas to gain clues to the accused.
