A youth has been arrested for allegedly raping a 17-year-old Dalit girl, police said today.
Sandeep Yadav of Chillarh village, about 14 kms from here, allegedly raped the girl on the night of February 7.
He was today produced in a local court which remanded him to 14-day judicial custody, a police official said.

On the complaint filed by the girl's father yesterday, Sandeep was booked under relevant sections of the IPC, SC/ST Act and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
The complainant had alleged that Sandeep took the victim to his residence where he raped her.
