A Dalit youth was today arrested for allegedly raping a 28-year-old widow at Subasedi village, about 26 kms from here, police said.
Sonu (22), who is distantly related to the victim, forcibly raped her at her residence on the night of January 5 and threatened her with dire consequences if she told about it to anyone, they said.
A case of rape and criminal intimidation has been registered against Sonu on the complaint filed by the victim.
He was produced in a local court which remanded him in 14-day judicial custody.
