Youth commits suicide hotel room

A 25-year-old youth allegedly committed suicide at a hotel room in Kaushambi area of the city, police said here today.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Atul Yadav said Abhishek, a resident of Shahdara, had checked-in Hotel Radisson Blu with a woman, Ruchi on Thursday.

According to Ruchi after taking lunch yesterday both of them went to sleep, but when she woke up in the evening she found Abhishek hanging from ventilator in the room.

She immediately called hotel staff, who brought the matter to the notice of police.

Upon questioning, Ruchi revealed that she was having extra-marital affairs with Abhishek, the DSP said.
 

"We are screening the CCTV camera footage and waiting for autopsy report to ascertain whether it is a case of suicide or murder," Yadav added.
