YSR Congress party today said it would organise a protest in Hyderabad on May 27 and 28 against the continuing incarceration of party chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Jagan was arrested by the CBI on May 27 last year in a disproportionate assets case.
YSRCP leader and convener of its trade union wing, Janak Prasad, said a candle rally will be held at People's Plaza on the Necklace Road on May 27.
Next day, YSRCP honorary president Y S Vijayamma, accompanied by party leaders and activists, would stage a dharna at Indira Park, he said.
"We have sought permission from the Director General of Police to stage the protest rally and dharna and he has positively responded," Janak Prasad said.
