"To be honest, I had not seen the original film. I saw it after David Dhawan offered the film to me. I saw it and I liked it. I am happy that I got to play the role that Farooq Sheikh did," he said.
The remake starring south actors Siddharth and Tapsee Pannu, Divyendu Sharma of 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama' fame, Rishi Kapoor, Juhi Chawla and Anupam Kher is slated for April 5 release.
