11.75% Gilt Traded For Rs 35 Crore

The wholesale debt segment (WDM) at the National Stock Exchange (NSE) clocked a trading volume of Rs 340.79 crore. The treasury bill segment contributed to a volume of Rs 65 crore.
It was an active market with lot of buying interest among the traders. The prices of securities moved in a narrow band, said brokers at the WDM. Several foreign banks were buyers while State Bank of India was selling, they added.

The 364-day treasury bills contributed to a volume of Rs 40 crore, and was traded at the weighted average yield of 12.02 per cent.
The 11.75 per cent government loan, maturing in 2001, was traded for Rs 35 crore at the weighted average yield of 11.97 per cent. The paper was traded at the low of Rs 99.10 and high of Rs 99.50. The 11 per cent government loan, maturing in 2002, was traded for Rs 30 crore at the weighted average yield of 12.18 per cent. The paper was traded for Rs 95.90, and closed at the high of Rs 96.40 for the day.
The corporate debenture segment clocked 278 trades, and accounted for a trading volume of Rs 3.21 crore yesterday. The 18 per cent, Tisco bonds were traded for Rs 1.31 crore.
and the zero per cent bond of Reliance Petro was traded for Rs 1.85 crore.
