Since the Bofors documents were handed over to the CBI by Swiss authorities, speculation is rife over the names of the recipients of bribes. But the CBI is keeping it a close secret. It has, however, started summoning retired generals, ministers and other officers about the deal. Very soon, the cat will be out of bag.

General Sundarji has, in a statement, has clearly accused the PMO of interference in the entire episode. Arun Singh, the then defence minister, has also lamented that for the sake of an individual, national interests had been sacrificed. In the coming session of Parliament, the opposition party is bound to force the government to give the names of those involved. The PM on his part must leave no stone unturned to do the same in the interest of the country.
