Cbi Chief May Meet Kesari

Investigations into Kesaris assets and into the three foreign donations to the AICC that were received last year two of them when Kesari was the party treasurer could figure in the talks. The functionary said the murder investigation in which senior Congress leaders could be implicated may also figure, although that probe is being conducted by the Delhi Police. Kesaris aides decided yesterday to argue that the Foreign Contributions Regulation Act has not been flouted since they received foreign currency bank drafts, which were duly put into accounts in banks, which then disbursed the money to the AICC in rupees. They have pleaded so far that they did not know that the contributions constituted a violation of the FCRA.
