Sponge Iron Output

Sponge iron production rose by 11 per cent to 5.25 million tonnes, according to steel secretary A K Basu. Basu was here to inaugurate a meeting organised by the Sponge Iron Manufacturers Association, on the development of new direct reduced iron technology developed by the Maumee Research & Engineering Inc, US, on February 20 in New Delhi.
