'StorageTek is leader in tape automation'

StorageTek (Storage Technology Corporation), a storage player, has announced that it has been named as the country's leader in tape automation by analyst firm IDC.

IDC's latest report, 'India Tape Automation Value of Shipments, 2004', found that StorageTek led the industry with 25.3 per cent marketshare in India.

"Being recognised as the leader in India's tape automation market reflects StorageTek's commitment to businesses in India," said Vijay Pradhan, India country manager for StorageTek.

"Our team in India has helped make StorageTek the preferred choice for backup and data protection." It's tape automation shipments more than doubled.
