Aegis acquires TeleTech Services

Aegis Communications, Essar Group's business process outsourcing (BPO) arm, has acquired TeleTech Services, a 50:50 joint venture of TeleTech Europe BV and Bharti Ventures for an estimated value of $13 million. This is the seventh acquisition by Aegis in the last two years.

This acquisition brings Bharti-Airtel, India's largest mobile company, into the growing portfolio of Aegis' customers. It will allow the $188 million Aegis to capture the leadership position among India-based players in the BPO market. Aegis has integrated and grown a diverse portfolio of practices across client segments and continents.

Other companies acquired overseas by Aegis include Canada's Genesis Media, French sales promotion and direct marketing agency Implicom, which Aegis acquired in October this year.
