HelloSoft to focus on VoIP, WLAN

HelloSoft India Private Limited, a high-end technology based products and solutions company working on VoIP-based low-cost solutions for telecom and other voiceover services, today announced that it is making headway towards enabling mass deployment of next-generation communication devices for the converged wireless markets.

The company currently provides communication technology IP (intellectual property) and support platforms to semiconductor IP suppliers among others.

Addressing a press conference here on Friday, Yarlagadda Krishna, founder chairman and chief executive officer of the company, said that HelloSoft is focusing on the ever-increasing global voiceover internet protocol (VoIP), wireless local area network (WLAN) and cellular markets, and planning to grow 100 per cent year-on-year.

According to him, at least a dozen cellphones, which would be built on the company's core VoIP solutions, will be launched in the near future.

About 50 researchers and software development professionals are expected to be added to the company's Hyderabad research and development centre, which has 130 digital signal processing engineers.
