V-Pact, a Hyderabad-based startup company, has developed a job portal with the same name exclusively dedicated to provide job opportunities to women professional within India and across the world.
Touted as the country’s first job portal exclusively for women, v-pact.com was launched on the sidelines of a seminar organised by the All Ladies League (ALL) in Hyderabad on Tuesday.
“Women constitute approximately 50 per cent of the total adult population in the world. Yet, in terms of opportunities, they face several challenges, particularly relating to gainful employment. There is a need to provide remunerative and flexible opportunities to women to make a more satisfying use of their time,” said Shilpa Rao, founder of V-Pact.
V-Pact’s goal is to provide a platform that will enable women to access part-time employment opportunities, either on an assignment basis or on an hourly basis. The website is currently under testing state and will go fully functional pretty soon, she added.
