Satyam Infotech to set up unit in Nagpur SEZ

Satyam Infotech has evinced interest in setting up shop at the proposed special economic zone (SEZ) in the air cargo area.

Sources said the Hyderabad headquartered company had held preliminary talks with officials of the Maharashtra Airports Development Company (MADC) and also visited the proposed air cargo hub area.

"They are interested in 50-100 acre in the area demarcated for IT companies in the cargo hub plan," a source said adding that the team from Satyam was quite satisfied with what they saw.

The team also had an informal meeting with the district collector, Sanjay Mukherjee. Sources said Nagpur was on Satyam's priority list as a location for further expansion along with Kolkata and Chandigarh.
