Several races will be staged in the run up to the rescheduled Tour de France which starts at the end of August, an updated cycling calendar revealed.
As the ban on the sport is lifted the first race in France will be the Route d'Occitanie between August 1-4 followed by a one day mountain challenge at Mont Ventoux and then the Tour de l'Ain from August 7-9.
Also packed into the programme is the shortened Criterium de Dauphine between 12-16 August and then the four-day Tour du Limousin from August 18.
The International Cycling Union insisted the dates would be constantly evaluated according to the health situation regarding the coronavirus pandemic in the country.
The Tour has been rescheduled to embark from Nice on August 29 from its original June start date in an attempt to make sure the sport's central financial pillar can be staged this season.

The German Bundesliga returned at the weekend to play out the final nine rounds of the season with all matches going ahead behind closed doors.

Burnley assistant manager Ian Woan was named as one of six individuals at three Premier League clubs to have tested positive for the coronavirus.
The results came after the Premier League announced earlier Tuesday that it had tested a total of 748 players and club staff for COVID-19 on Sunday and Monday.
Premier League officials did not name the individuals concerned but a Burnley statement said: "Burnley Football Club can confirm that after completing a COVID-19 test on Sunday, 17th May, assistant manager Ian Woan has tested positive."
"In line with strict Premier League requirements and following a positive test, Ian will now self-isolate for a period of seven days, with a view to being tested again week commencing Monday, 25th May.

Women's World Cup star Megan Rapinoe, long an outspoken critic of President Donald Trump, says she wouldn't rule out running for America's highest office herself one day.
In excerpts from an interview with Vice TV that were released on Tuesday, Rapinoe branded Trump a "white nationalist" and said she didn't think his policies had helped Americans.
"Now, obviously, we have a white nationalist -- I think -- in the White House and the spewing of hate and the 'othering' of the rest of the country has only led to more rift between people and more despair and more anxiety and more fear going forward," Rapinoe said.

Marseille have offered coach Andre Villas-Boas a two-year contract extension, the French club announced, amid widespread reports that the Portuguese is set to leave after just one season in charge.
A Marseille statement said the club wished to put right "erroneous" media reports about a new contract offer and confirmed Villas-Boas -- whose existing deal runs until the end of next season -- had been offered the extension which would tie him to the Velodrome until 2023.
It would also carry the option of a further season if they qualify for the Champions League in that campaign.
It comes after the 42-year-old led the former European champions to second place behind Paris Saint-Germain in the Ligue 1 season which was ended early because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Italy's Serie A teams have been given the green light to resume group training but will have to wait until May 28 to know whether the season can resume, Sports Minister Vincenzo Spadafora said.
Spadafora told Italian television that government scientists had accepted the Italian football federation's (FIGC) revised health protocol.
"The Scientific Technical Committee have approved the FIGC protocol for the resumption of team training," Spadafora told Rai.
"It is excellent news, collective training can now resume." Spadafora said he has scheduled a meeting on May 28 with FIGC president Gabriele Gravina and Lega Serie A chief Paolo Dal Pino to decide on the return to competition.

The restart of the Bundesliga last weekend has drawn criticism from the sports community in football-mad Germany with world champion rower Oliver Zeidler branding it "a joke" and criticised an "insane system".

"A joke": Bundesliga restart draws criticism from German sports community

Six positive cases for coronavirus have been detected at three Premier League clubs after players and staff were tested ahead of a return to training, England's top flight said Tuesday.
"The Premier League can today confirm that, on Sunday 17 May and Monday 18 May, 748 players and club staff were tested for COVID-19," the league said in a statement.
"Of these, six have tested positive from three clubs."
No details were released over which individuals or clubs are affected.

Reigning Czech champions and current league leaders Slavia Prague said Tuesday the entire team will go into quarantine after a player tested positive for the coronavirus.
Suspended since mid-March, the country's top-flight First League is set to resume on Saturday, with Slavia due to travel to Mlada Boleslav for their opening game on May 26.
"The club is in quarantine until Thursday," tweeted Slavia director Jaroslav Tvrdik.
The League Football Association (LFA) said Tuesday it had tested 1,442 players from the top two divisions, with two testing positive -- the other from Slavia's next opponents Boleslav.
Slavia players will undergo control tests on Friday and Monday.

World Health Organisation member states agreed on Tuesday to an independent probe into the UN agency's coronavirus response as US criticism mounted over its handling of the pandemic.
Countries taking part in the WHO's annual assembly, being held virtually for the first time, adopted a resolution by consensus urging a joint response to the crisis.

Werder Bremen coach Florian Kohfeldt insists they haven't been "knocked out" despite a first relegation for 40 years looming.

World Cup winner Inglis retired in April 2019 due to recurring fitness problems.

A British Grand Prix would be "impossible" this year if elite sport is not exempt from 14-day quarantine restrictions when entering the United Kingdom, Formula One said on Tuesday.
