Jio Platforms Ltd (JPL), which runs India’s largest telecom network, Reliance Jio Infocomm, reported a net profit of ₹7,110 crore in April-June 2025-26, up 24.9 per cent year-on-year (Y-o-Y).
In the last four quarters, the company registered net profit growth of 25.7 per cent, 26 per cent, 23.4 per cent, and 11.7 per cent, respectively. JPL’s revenue for April-June stood at ₹41,054 crore, representing an 18.8 per cent Y-o-Y increase.
Reliance Jio Infocomm reported average revenue per user (Arpu) of ₹208.8 in this financial year’s first quarter. Last quarter, Arpu was ₹206.2, up from ₹203.3 in October-December 2024-25. On a yearly basis, the company’s Arpu was higher by 14.9 per cent.
Reliance Jio had 498.1 million users at the end of the first quarter, up from 488.2 million at the end of March. The telco reported that it gained 9.9 million subscribers in the latest quarter, a sharp increase from the 6.1 million subscriber addition in the previous quarter.
The telco had lost 10.9 million subscribers in July-September 2024 following the tariff hike. Previously, the telco had added users for seven consecutive quarters.

“We have delivered a milestone quarter at Jio with our 5G and home subscriber base crossing the 200 million and 20 million mark, respectively. Jio continues to create unparalleled technology infrastructure and is extending its leadership in 5G and fixed broadband. This will be pivotal in driving AI adoption in the country,” Reliance Jio Infocomm Chairman Akash Ambani said.
On a standalone basis, Reliance Jio Infocomm’s revenue from operations stood at ₹30,882 crore, up from ₹26,478 crore recorded a year ago. The net profit of the telco for the quarter stood at ₹6,711 crore on a standalone basis.
Reliance Jio Infocomm paid spectrum charges and licence fees of ₹2,820 crore during the quarter ended June 30.
Revenue from Jio Platform’s operations grew 19 per cent Y-o-Y to ₹35,032 crore, surpassing the growth rate of the previous quarter at 17.7 per cent.
Jio Platforms’ earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation (Ebitda) for the quarter were a record ₹18,135 crore, up 23.9 per cent Y-o-Y.
Reliance Jio also stated that the number of 5G users on its network surpassed 200 million during April-June.
Jio’s 5G users are the largest subscriber base in this category among telecom operators outside China.
