The Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO), the state’s industrial development agency, has extended the ‘flexible land payment model’ to specialised sectors such as textiles and apparel, handicrafts, and food and processing. According to a senior RIICO official, this move will help boost investment, expand industrial activities, and create job opportunities.
“Under RIICO’s ‘flexible land payment model’, sectors including textiles and apparel, handicrafts, agriculture and milk processing, food processing, wool processing, ceramics and glass, electronic component manufacturing, petrochemical products, and data centres will now be eligible for a facility allowing land payments to be made in instalments over a 10 year period,” the official added.
Sectors such as logistics, global capability centres (GCC), registered vehicle scrapping facilities, semiconductors, aerospace and defence, and waste processing and recycling were previously brought under the 10-year instalment payment plan.
“This initiative will further strengthen Rajasthan’s position as an attractive investment destination for emerging, specialised industrial and service sectors,” the official said.
He said under the flexible land payment option, 10 per cent of the land premium — adjusted to include the 5 per cent earnest money deposit (EMD) submitted with the application — must be deposited within 30 days of the issuance of the Letter of Offer. The remaining 90 percent of the instalment can be paid annually over a 10-year period at an 8.5 percent interest rate.

An expenditure of ₹146 crore was incurred in the first quarter of FY27 for payments related to land allotted by various government departments, compared with nearly ₹64 crore spent a year ago.
