A convoy of more than 2,000 members of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was traveling down the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in the afternoon of February 14, 2019. Adil Ahmad Dar, a suicide bomber, struck one of the buses with a car loaded with explosives, causing a huge explosion. One of the bloodiest strikes on Indian security forces in recent history, the attack tragically claimed the lives of 40 CRPF members.
