Matchday 41 of the Pro Kabaddi League 2024 saw UP Yoddhas taking on Jaipur Pink Panthers in the first match, while the second clash of the day will see U Mumba face off against Telugu Titans. UP Yoddhas beat Jaipur Pink Panthers by four points to start the night to claim the third spot at the points table for themselves. However, it was short lived as Telugu Titans with a win in second match of the night secured second spot on the table while pusing U Mumba and UP Yoddhas on third and fourth spot respectively.
PKL 2024 First Match on November 28: UP Yoddhas vs Jaipur Pink Panthers
In the first match of the night, UP Yoddhas beat Jaipur Pink Panthers by four points to secure the third spot in the points table for the moment. Jaipur Pink Panthers started the game with a two-point raid from Arjun, but UP Yoddhas soon found their footing and ended the first quarter of the match with a 10-7 lead. Unlike the first quarter, it was UP Yoddhas who started the second quarter on fire, inflicting an all-out on Jaipur Pink Panthers. However, they were only able to add nine more points in those 10 minutes, while Jaipur Pink Panthers, with an all-out of their own, added 13 points to end the first half with a 20-19 lead.
The Yoddhas were again the dominant side in the third quarter, adding 7 points compared to the Panthers’ 5, to lead the game 26-25 at the 30-minute mark. In the final quarter, despite a late fightback from the Panthers, UP Yoddhas still outclassed the two-time champions, scoring 6 to 4 points in the last 10 minutes to end the game 33-29 in their favor.
PKL 2024 Second Match on November 28: U Mumba vs Telugu Titans
In the second match of the night, Telugu Titans, with a dominant win over U Mumba by 5 points, replaced their opponents on the second spot in the points table.
Telugu Titans took the early lead in the match with raid points from Vijay Malik and Ashish Narwal, ending the first quarter with a 9-7 lead. The Titans continued their dominance in the second quarter, enforcing two all-outs on U Mumba to lead 16-6 in the quarter and 25-13 at the end of the first half.
However, U Mumba made a strong comeback in the third quarter, securing 12 points compared to the Titans' 5, reducing the deficit to 25-30. In the final quarter, despite U Mumba’s best efforts, the Titans held on to their lead and finally ended the match 41-35 in their favor.
