Day 21 of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) 2025 delivered yet another action-packed evening at the SMS Indoor Stadium in Jaipur today. In the opening clash of the day Haryana Steelers denied a late fightback from Puneri Paltan to win the match by 34-30. While in the second game of the day, Telugu Titans beat Tamil Thalivas 43-29 to avenge their loss in the opening game of PKL 2025.
Match 1: Puneri Paltan vs Haryana Steelers
The Haryana Steelers produced a spirited all-round display to edge past Puneri Paltan 34-30 in a thrilling Pro Kabaddi League clash at the SMS Indoor Stadium in Jaipur on Friday. With sharp defending and impactful raids, the Steelers maintained composure in crunch moments to secure the win.
The match began with Haryana stamping their authority as Rahul executed a tackle in the opening minute, followed by a successful raid from Vinay to make it 2-0. Their defensive unit looked well-organised early on, and the momentum soon translated into the first all out of the contest, handing them a commanding 14-4 lead. Puneri Paltan responded through Pankaj Mohite, but Haryana remained in control and went into halftime with a 19-10 cushion.
In the second half, the Steelers continued to dominate, highlighted by a Super Raid from Vinay that extended their lead to double digits. However, Pankaj Mohite led a spirited comeback for the Paltan, completing his Super 10 and helping his side inflict an all out to close the gap to just two points at 25-27.
With the game finely poised, Vinay, who completed his Super 10, struck back with decisive raids, though Puneri’s Stuart Singh and Mohite kept the contest alive until the dying minutes. In the final moments, a crucial Haryana tackle and a two-point raid by Shivam Patare sealed the contest at 34-30.
The result showcased the Steelers’ balance between raiding and defending, while Puneri Paltan were left to rue their slow start despite Mohite’s standout effort.
Match 2: Tamil Thalaivas vs Telugu Titans
The Telugu Titans produced one of their best performances of the season, overpowering Tamil Thalaivas 43-29 at the SMS Indoor Stadium in Jaipur on Friday to avenge their defeat from the season opener. With Vijay Malik leading the charge with a Super 10 and Bharat delivering impactful raids, the Titans combined sharp attacking play with a disciplined defence to dominate the contest.
The Titans made their intentions clear right from the start, racing to a 13-4 lead with an early all out. Vijay Malik and Bharat kept the scoreboard moving with clever raids, while their defence remained tight and well-coordinated. The Thalaivas, meanwhile, looked sluggish in attack and struggled to convert their chances.
Arjun and Narender sparked a fightback for Tamil Thalaivas in the second quarter, chipping in with valuable raid points, while Nitesh impressed with a strong defensive tackle. However, every time the Thalaivas found momentum, the Titans responded quickly through Malik’s do-or-die raids and Bharat’s consistency. By halftime, Telugu remained comfortably ahead at 22-10.
The second half followed a similar pattern. Even though Arjun and Narender kept fighting, the Titans never lost control. Bharat dominated with successive raid points, Malik impressed with all-round contributions, and the defensive unit ensured Tamil’s comeback hopes never materialised.
Despite a late all out from Arjun and Narender’s spirited efforts, the Thalaivas couldn’t close the gap. Telugu Titans stayed composed in the final minutes, sealing a commanding 43-29 win and underlining their intent for the season ahead.
