BLS International Services on Tuesday said it has been awarded a work order amounting to Rs 2,055.35 crore from Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) for being the service provider for establishing and running district-level Aadhar Seva Kendra. BLS International Services works in the domain of visa, passports, consular, citizen, e-governance, attestation, biometric, e-visa, and retail services since 2005. These Aadhaar Seva Kendras (ASKs) will function as core facilities for appointment and walk-in based Aadhaar enrolment, updates, and other citizen-centric Aadhaar services, the company said in a release. "The scope of the project includes setting up and managing Aadhaar Seva Kendras at the district level, with complete end-to-end responsibility under UIDAI's supervision," it said. IT company Protean eGov Technologies has received an order worth Rs 1,160 crore from UIDAI to establish and operate district-level Aadhaar Seva Kendra, the company said in a regulatory filing. The contract is spread over a period of six years. "Protean eGov Technologies Limited has received a work order on August 25, 2025, from Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) for providing services as 'Service Provider for Establishing and Running District Level Aadhaar Seva Kendra (ASK)' of approximately Rs 1,160 crore (exclusive of taxes)," the company said in the filing. The Mumbai-based technology firm offers citizen services, e-governance solutions, system integration, business process re-engineering, data centre co-location, and IT consulting services for citizens, corporates and the government.
Billionaire Elon Musk-led Starlink will use Aadhaar authentication for customer verification in the country before onboarding them, an official statement said on Wednesday. The government has given approval to Starlink to start providing satellite-based broadband services in the country.
