Veteran actor Satish Shah cremated as Film and TV fraternity pays tributes

Family members, friends, and colleagues from the film and television industry bid a tearful adieu to veteran actor Satish Shah, who was cremated here on Sunday afternoon. Industry veteran Naseeruddin Shah, his wife Ratna Pathak Shah, who was also Satish Shah's co-star in "Sarabhai vs Sarabhai", other actors from the fan-favourite show, and members of the film fraternity attended his final farewell. Satish Shah passed away on Saturday at the age of 74 following a kidney ailment. He is survived by his wife, Madhu Shah, a designer. The mortal remains were brought to his home in Bandra (East) in an ambulance at around 11 am, and the same vehicle was later decked with marigold flowers and two photographs of the actor on the front and rear sides. The body was later transported to Pawan Hans Crematorium in Vile Parle for the last rites, which were conducted by Shah's personal assistant Ramesh Kadatala. Actor Mukul Dev, best known for his roles in films such as Son of Sardaar, Yamla Pagla Deewana and Jai Ho, has passed away, his brother Rahul Dev said on Saturday. He was 54. "My brother Mukul Dev passed away peacefully last night at New Delhi due to ailing health," Rahul Dev told PTI. According to Mukul Dev's close friend Vindu Dara Singh, the actor died at a hospital in the national capital. He was unwell for eight to ten days. He was not looking after his health and was depressed after the demise of his mother. Allu Arjun granted regular bail, can't leave India without court permission

A court on Friday granted regular bail to top Telugu actor Allu Arjun, an accused in the case booked over the death of a woman in a stampede here during the premiere of his latest film 'Pushpa-2'. The II Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge had earlier reserved the order for today after hearing arguments from the lawyers of the actor and the police. The court directed the actor to furnish two sureties, who shall execute bond for Rs 50,000 each, besides his own with the same amount. As part of the bail conditions, the 'Pushpa' star has to appear before the investigating officer every Sunday between 10 am and 1pm for a period of two months or till filing of the charge sheet, whichever is earlier. "Petitioner shall not hamper the investigation in any manner nor shall directly or indirectly make any inducement, threat or promise to any witness so as to dissuade them from disclosing such facts to the court or to any police officer," the court said. 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' actor goes missing, police files case

Delhi Police on Saturday lodged an abduction case over the disappearance of actor Gurucharan Singh of the famous TV serial 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' fame, officials said. Multiple teams have been formed to find the 50-year-old actor, who is a Delhi resident, after he went missing five days ago, they said. He was last seen near the Delhi airport with a backpack, the police said citing a CCTV footage. An FIR has been lodged under Section 365 (abduction) and and an investigation has been launched into the matter, they added. "Actor Gurucharan Singh who plays the role of 'Roshan Singh Sodhi' in the TV serial 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' went missing on April 22 evening," Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southwest) Rohit Meena said.
