Delhi Assembly polls: Kejriwal promises to end unemployment within 5 yrs

With voting in Delhi assembly elections less than two weeks away, AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday vowed to eliminate unemployment in the national capital within the next five years. In a video message, the former Delhi chief minister emphasised his focus on employment. "My top priority will be to provide employment to our youths. Our team is drafting a detailed plan to address the issue of unemployment," he said. The Supreme Court on Tuesday granted six weeks to a Delhi BJP leader to respond to a plea of Delhi Chief Minister Atishi and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal against an order that refused to quash a defamation case against them over their alleged remarks on deletion of the voters' names. A bench of Justices Hrishikesh Roy and S V N Bhatti adjourned the hearing after the counsel for complainant Rajiv Babbar sought more time to file his response.
