Apple to start selling 'Made in India' iPhone 16 Pro from this month

iPhone maker Apple on Friday said it will open four more stores in India, located in Pune, Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR and Mumbai. The company said it will also roll out its first-ever "made in India" iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max series devices this month. "We're thrilled to build our teams as we plan to open more stores in India because we're inspired by the creativity and passion of our customers across this country. We can't wait for them to have even more opportunities to discover and shop for our amazing products and services, and connect with our extraordinary, knowledgeable team members," Apple's senior Vice President of Retail, Deirdre O'Brien, said in a statement. Birla Estates sells residential real estate worth Rs 600 cr in Bengaluru

Realty firm Birla Estates has sold properties worth about Rs 600 crore in its new housing project in Bengaluru. Birla Estates, a wholly owned subsidiary of Aditya Birla Real Estate Ltd (formerly Century Textiles and Industries Ltd) said in a regulatory filing, "Birla Trimaya Phase II The Park, has sold almost 95 per cent of its inventory within 24 hours of its launch achieving an approximate booking value of about Rs 600 crore." In the first phase of this project, the company had sold properties worth about Rs 500 crore. "Overall, the cumulative booking value achieved till date is about Rs 1,100 crore and the project is anticipated to generate a revenue potential of around Rs 3,000 crore across the entire 52 acre development," it added. Table Space, which provides flexible workspace to corporates, has bought 5 lakh sq ft office space in Bengaluru for around Rs 500 crore to expand its business amid rising demand. According to sources, the company has acquired 5 lakh square feet office space in Whitefield, Bengaluru, for about Rs 500 crore. Real estate consultant CBRE facilitated this deal, they added. Table Space President Kunal Mehra confirmed the transaction. CBRE declined to comment. "Table Space has acquired Kalyani Camellia, Whitefield (Mahadevapura), Bengaluru, covering around 5,00,000 sq ft," Mehra said. "This is the second Table Space-owned asset in the brand's portfolio," he told PTI. Mehra did not share the deal value. Chargesheet filed against Ex-MP Prajwal Revanna in second case

The Bengaluru police has filed a chargesheet in the second case registered against former MP Prajwal Revanna, who is facing charges of rape and sexual assault, in a special court here. Revanna is currently under judicial custody at Parappana Agrahara Jail here, and a Special Investigation Team is probing four separate cases against him, officials said on Friday. According to police, the second case against Prajwal Revanna was filed by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on May 1 after a 44-year-old former member of the Hassan Zilla Panchayat accused him of repeatedly raping her. CBIC suspends Bengaluru CGST officials arrested for extortion charges

The CBIC on Friday said it has suspended some CGST officials in Bengaluru who have been arrested by the city police for alleged extortion charges. On September 11, Bengaluru City Crime Branch arrested four Central GST officials based on a complaint of kidnapping and extortion filed by a businessman at Byappanahalli police station of Bengaluru East division. The arrested include a superintendent rank officer apart from inspector and senior intelligence officer rank staffers of the GST. In a post on X, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) said as per media reports, it has been reported that some CGST officials in Bengaluru have resorted to alleged extortion in violation of the laws of the land. "The officers involved have been immediately suspended," it said. It further said that the CBIC is in touch with police authorities who got the remand of these officers arrested by them. "Based on the outcome of the investigation in the matter, further action will be taken.

Bengaluru Police files chargesheet against former MP Prajwal in fourth case

The Bengaluru Police has filed a comprehensive chargesheet of 1,652 pages in the fourth case registered against former MP Prajwal Revanna, who is facing charges of rape and sexual assault, in a special court here, officials said on Monday. Revanna is currently under judicial custody at Parappana Agrahara Jail here, and a Special Investigation Team is probing four separate cases against him. According to the police, the chargesheet was filed against Revanna on June 12 at the cyber crime police station of CID in Bengaluru.
