Airlines to fly 23,117 domestic flights every week during winter schedule

Domestic airlines will operate 22 per cent more flights every week at 23,117 during winter schedule spanning from end of October till late March 2019, according to officials. The number of flights represents an increase of 22 per cent compared to the winter schedule of 2017, they added. The winter schedule would be from October 28, 2018 to March 24, 2019. Civil Aviation Ministry officials said the winter schedule 2018 for domestic airlines has been approved. In all, 23,117 departures per week have been approved. There is net increase of departures by 22 per cent compared to winter schedule 2017. Every departure is considered as a flight. India is one of the fastest growing domestic aviation markets in the world and has been registering double-digit growth continuously for more than three years.

BSE revises circuit limit for 11 scrips

Leading exchange BSE has revised the circuit limit for shares of 11 companies to curb excessive volatility in prices. The new limits, effective Friday, will ensure stock prices do not fluctuate beyond a prescribed level during a session. In a notice dated October 17, the BSE said trading members of the exchange are informed that the price band has been revised from existing levels in 11 scrips with effect from October 19. A circuit limit of 20 per cent has been set for Mac Hotels and Manorama Industries and, 10 per cent for P B Films, Energy Development Company and India Cements Capital, according to the notice. Besides, a price band of 5 per cent has been set for R&B Denims, Shristi Infrastructure Development Corporation, Ind Bank Housing and E-Land Apparel, while 2 per cent for Apoorva Leasing Finance and Investment Company and Srestha Finvest.
