JEE-Main results: 56 candidates achieve 100 NTA score, IIT cut-offs soar

A record 56 candidates, including two females, achieved 100 NTA score in engineering entrance exam JEE-Main, the National Testing Agency (NTA) announced on Wednesday night. The qualifying percentile for JEE (Advanced), the entrance test for admission to the 23 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), touched a five-year high. While 23 candidates in the JEE (Main) January session scored 100 NTA score, 33 candidates in the April session achieved it. The 56 toppers include 40 from the general category, 10 from the OBC category and six from the gen-EWS category. No candidate from the SC and ST categories managed to get 100 NTA score this year. According to officials, the NTA score is not the same as the percentage of marks obtained. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday announced a scholarship of Rs 20,000 per month for two years to Anjali Yadav, who topped the CBSE exam with 100 per cent marks. CBSE Class 10 results: Delhi's pass percentage declines this year

Delhi recorded 86.55 per cent pass percentage in Class 10 Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) exams this year, a steep decline from 98.19 per cent in 2021, according to official data. Delhi's pass percentage was 85.86 per cent in 2019 and 80.97 per cent in 2018. The CBSE on Friday announced Class 10 results, which showed that 94.40 per cent of students cleared the exam with girls outperforming boys by a margin of 1.41 per cent. In 2020 and 2021, the results were declared on the basis of a Tabulation Policy in view of the coronavirus pandemic. The exams this year were conducted in two terms. The CBSE has divided the country into 16 regions with Delhi having two -- Delhi East and Delhi West. Of the 16 CBSE regions, Delhi East and Delhi West were ranked at 14th and 15th position with pass percentages of 86.96 per cent and 85.94 per cent respectively below the Noida region, that was at the ninth spot with 96.08 per cent. The top three regions are Trivandrum (99.68 per cent)
