Indigo crisis: PIL filed in Delhi HC seeking direction for compensation

A PIL has been filed in the Delhi High Court seeking to direct the Centre and Indigo airline to pay four times the compensation of the full ticket price to all passengers whose tickets were cancelled during November and December after the new Flight Duty Time Limitation (FDTL) rollout. The public interest litigation, which will come up for hearing on Wednesday before a bench of Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela, also sought an enquiry by a retired judge or Lokpal to identify the negligence and lapses of the Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGCA) in precipitating the crisis. The petition further sought to direct the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Department of Consumer Affairs to initiate a "class action suit" according to the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act against Indigo for the suffering and damages caused to the passengers due to the crisis in the last couple of months. DGCA probe panel on flight disruptions visits IndiGo headquarters

The four-member panel, set up by Director General of Civil Aviation Faiz Ahmed Kidwai to investigate large-scale operational disruptions at domestic carrier IndiGo earlier this month, visited the airline's headquarters on Monday as part of the ongoing probe, sources said. Tata Power on Monday said it is aiming for a capex of Rs 25,000 crore in the current fiscal year and will look to maintain the same annual spend till FY30. As per an investor presentation, 65 per cent of the capex is aimed at clean energy projects. Tata Power, which made a capital expenditure (capex) of Rs 17,273 crore in FY25, almost doubled the same to Rs 25,000 crore in FY26. The total capex estimated between FY26 and FY30 is Rs 1.25 lakh crore with Rs 25,000 crore spent annually, as per the presentation. In an interaction, Sinha said, "We are well poised to achieve our aspirations." In the power generation segment, the company had a thermal capacity of 15.7 GW in FY25, which it looks to scale up to 30 GW by FY30, he said. SBI aims to double YONO app users, plans significant investment: Chairman

State Bank of India Chairman C S Setty has said that the bank is targeting to double its YONO app user base to 20 crore over the next two years with the launch of a new version on Monday. YONO 2.0 is a significant upgrade, offering a better experience for customers and a robust digital platform for the bank, and full fledged features will be rolled out over 6-8 months, he told PTI in an interview. "From a bank perspective, YONO 2.0 is a key anchor of digitalization, with a common code for internet banking and mobile banking. This allows for seamless integration across channels, enabling SBI to launch new products and processes quickly.
