At least two JNU students have been issued "warning letters" for writing texts on walls and roads inside the campus demanding action against professor Atul Johri, who is facing sexual harassment charges, prompting angry reaction from the students union which termed it as "intimidation" tactics. Chief Proctor of the varsity Kaushal Kumar issued a "warning letter" to the students on April 9 which said, "It has been alleged that you were involved in writing 'Suspend Johri' on road in front of School of Physical Sciences on March 27 at 6 pm. You are hereby warned and advised to be careful in future. You must restrain yourself from such activities that violate norms of discipline." The CBSE Class 10 mathematics question paper was leaked by Rakesh Kumar, an economics teacher at DAV Centenary School in Una in Himachal Pradesh, who was arrested last week along with two other employees of the school - Amit Sharma and Ashok Kumar - in connection with the economics paper leak. The police said today Rakesh Kumar was found to be also involved with the mathematics paper leak before the March 28 examination. During intensive questioning by a team led by Rajesh Kumar, assistant commissioner of police (Crime), he confessed his involvement and sending the images of handwritten copy of the papers to his bhabhi in Ferozepur, Punjab, the police said. The CBSE today told the Delhi High Court that it decided not to hold re-examination of class 10 Maths test as a scientific evaluation of random answer sheets did not indicate any unusual pattern to believe that there was widespread benefit of the alleged paper leak. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) made the submission in an affidavit in which it said it was not conducting the re-test for another reason -- class 10 is a gateway to class 11 and therefore "remains largely an internal segment of school education system". The affidavit was filed in response to a PIL, being heard by a bench of Acting Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice C Hari Shankar, in which an NGO had sought that CBSE be directed to hold the class 10 exam in April, if required, and not in July as it had proposed earlier. The court had asked the Board to indicate by April 16 its plans, if any, to re-conduct the Maths test for class 10. Subsequently, CBSE had issued a notification on April 3 saying it will

"Secretary of the DSSSB to remain present in court with records relating to recruitment of special educators," a bench of Acting Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice C Hari Shankar said. During the hearing, neither any advocate nor official of the board were present in the court which listed the matter for further hearing on April 19. The bench had earlier sought response of the AAP government, the DSSSB and the South Delhi Municipal Corporation over the alleged delay in filling up 1,540 posts of special educators in municipal schools here.
