Manisha Koirala opens up about her role in 'Sanju'

Manisha Koirala is back in action with her projects in Bollywood, as she is all set to play the role of Nargis Dutt in 'Sanju'.In an interview, the star opened up about her role in the movie."I was really nervous for the role. But to play as Nargis Dutt is an honour for me. Also, Rajkumar Hirani supported me all through the movie as showed me various movies and documentaries which helped me to understand Nargis Ji," she said.Talking about Sanjay Dutt, the 'Dil Se' star said, "I was always in awe of him. I am his big fan for a very long time. Baba has a heart of gold and has always been really humble."She also opened up about working with Ranbir."He is a very great and hardworking actor. Amazon now lets you talk to Alexa on iOS

Amazon has updated its Alexa for iOS app which allows Siri lovers to bring a change to their lives.The new version of the Amazon Alexa app now allows you to talk to Alexa. It works the same way as Siri where you activate the voice-controlled assistant for updates on weather, news, movie time, appointments, and so on, Fast Company reported.With the new update, Amazon Echo owners with an iOS device will be able to seamlessly control the connected home devices. However, it still requires you to open the app and then voice the instructions.

'Karwaan' trailer is all about 'dead bodies'

The makers have dropped the first trailer of Irrfan Khan-starrer 'Karwaan' and it is interesting at its best.Revolving around the quest of two dead bodies and three crackpots (Irrfan, Dulquer Salmaan, and Mithila Palkar), the trailer is full of hilarity and fun moments, with a touch of emotions.The movie has been shot in the beautiful locales of Kerala and other parts of South India.Directed by Akarsh Khurana, 'Karwaan' revolves around three oddballs from different walks of life who are thrown together on a somewhat bizarre journey which helps them find normalcy in their lives.This will be the second film starring Irrfan after the actor revealed that he is suffering from a neuroendocrine tumour.The film is scheduled to hit the screens on August 03.

"A Quiet Place" writers to adapt Stephen King's 'The Boogeyman'

Twentieth Century Fox and 21 Laps are working on the film adaptation of Stephen King's horror story "The Boogeyman". "A Quiet Place" screenwriters Scott Beck and Bryan Woods will adapt the script for the celluloid, Deadline reported. First published in 1973, "The Boogeyman" follows a man who loses all his children to a creature lurking in the closet. After "It", the book becomes the latest from King's fiction list to get a film treatment. The scribe duo took to Twitter to confirm the news. "Ever since we were children, our nightmares have been fueled by the "King" of Horror... so we are absolutely thrilled and honored to be adapting @StephenKing's THE BOOGEYMAN for @20thcenturyfox and 21 Laps!" a tweet from their joint Twitter read. Beck and Woods will also executive produce the film with Madhouse Entertainment's Robyn Meisinger, Adam Kolbrenner and Ryan Cunningham. JR Young will oversee for the studio.

Terry Crews testifies before Senate on sexual assault

'The Expendables' actor Terry Crews recently recounted his story of alleged sexual assault at the hands of an agent.While testifying before the Senate on Tuesday in support of the Sexual Assault Survivors' Bill of Rights, the 49-year-old revealed he would not be a part of 'Expendables 4' because one of the film's producers threatened him with "trouble" if Crews did not drop his lawsuit against William Morris Endeavor agent Adam Venit."I've done three movies called the Expendables with Sylvester Stallone," Crews said, as reported by Entertainment Weekly. "Bad Boys" spin-off series, featuring Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba in finally in the works. According to EW, the show based on the film franchise that starred Martin Lawrence and Will Smith as two Miami Narcotics Detectives, has been picked up by Charter Communications, making it Spectrum's first original scripted series. The story follows Union's Syd Burnett, sister to Marcus (Lawrence) and love interest to Mike (Smith) from "Bad Boys II", more than a decade after the events of the movie. Newspaper gives USD 5,000 of Pulitzer Prize money to benefit child

The Cincinnati Enquirer is donating USD 5,000 of its 2018 Pulitzer Prize for local reporting to benefit a little girl featured in the newspaper's winning report on heroin. The Enquirer reports the money will be the first deposit in a fund to assist Elliana Russ. The then-8-month-old child and her mother, Stephanie Gaffney, were featured in the newspaper's "Seven Days of Heroin" report in July. Twenty-eight-year-old Gaffney died of an overdose of a fentanyl combination 10 days after speaking with the newspaper for the story. Enquirer Editor Beryl Love said the news organization thought it "only right" to use a portion of its USD 15,000 prize money to help her daughter. A Hamilton County judge later granted custody of Elliana to Gaffney's mother and her husband.

'Pawn Star' shop sets up 'old man' memorial

'Pawn Stars' shop honoured its founder Richard 'old man' Harrison by setting up a memorial for his pay their respects.Harrison from the popular American reality TV show 'Pawn Stars' passed away on June 25 at the age of 77.According to TMZ, a makeshift memorial at the Gold and Silver shop in Las Vegas was set up.The memorial includes his signature chair, hat and coffee cup and also a life-sized cutout of him and a collection of photos from his office, further reported TMZ.Fans and customers visiting the memorial offered flowers to the 'old man'.The 'old man' as he was fondly called, opened the pawn store along with his son Rick in 1989.The shop rose to fame with the 'Pawn Stars' TV show which premiered in 2009 and has been on air for 15 seasons.

China blocks HBO website over Jinping joke

Chinese authorities have blocked its mainland users from accessing the HBO website after American comedian John Oliver poked fun at President Xi Jinping.The comedian poked fun in his HBO talk show 'Last Week Tonight'.The 20-minute segment, which aired on June 17 in the U.S., gave a detailed description of China's alleged human rights abuses, including the country's suppression of free speech.The joke was about China censoring the online comparison between Xi Jinping and cartoon character, Winnie-the-Pooh, by the Asian country' s internet users."Clamping down on Winnie-the-Pooh comparisons doesn't exactly project strength," Oliver said, as quoted by The Hollywood Reporter."It suggests a weird insecurity," he added.According to the report, the mainland China internet users are unable to access the website since June 23.HBO.com was blocked and therefore took away the opportunity for Chinese people to see the Xi Jinping segment by Oliver.Despite the crackdown, shows like 'Game of Thrones'
