Pop sensation Justin Bieber is geared up to voice God of Love Cupid in an animated film of the same name.As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, the Canadian singer will lend his voice for the movie made by Mythos Studios, a company co-founded by his manager.The film, 'Cupid', will revolve around the god of desire, affection, erotic love and attraction. The god from the classical mythology is known to provoke mortals into falling in love with just a strike of his enchanted arrows.Bieber will also be one of the executive producers of the movie.

'Hanuman Vs Mahiravan' set to release in July

The makers have shifted the release date of 'Hanuman Vs Mahiravana' from June to July.Yash Raj Films, the distributor of the film, announced July 6, 2018 as the new date of release.The news was confirmed by Tarun Adarsh, an Indian film critic and a trade analyst.He wrote, "Yash Raj Films shifts the release date of #HanumanVsMahiravana3D... New date: 6 July 2018... YRF is distributing the forthcoming Indian 3D animation films #HanumanVsMahiravana3D and #ChhotaBheemKungFuDhamaka3D."The 3D animation film will focus on an event from the mythological epic Ramayana. Jordan Peele moves his pact to Amazon Studios

More than a year after signing a first-look TV pact with Sonar Entertainment, the writer-director Jordan Peele has moved his small-screen pact, Monkeypaw Productions, to Amazon Studios.Under the pact, Peele will create and develop new projects for the retailer and streamer, which is plotting a new course under head Jennifer Salke, confirmed The Hollywood Reporter.Founded in 2012 by Peele, Monkeypaw is a film, TV and digital-focused production company that also produced the breakout feature hit 'Get Out', written and directed by Key & Peele.On the film side, his first-look deal remains at Universal Pictures.

CCI dismisses case against producers of 'Padmaavat' and 'Padman'

Fair trade regulator CCI has disposed of allegations of unfair business practices against seven producers of Hindi films 'Padmaavat' and 'Padman' with regard to release date of the two movies. Among the producers of Padmaavat are Viacom18 Media and Bhansali Productions, while those of Padman include Twinkle Khanna, Kriarj Entertainment, Side Films India, Cape of Good Films and Hope Productions, according to a CCI order dated June 1. The CCI order has come on a complaint filed by two New Delhi-based individuals that the makers of the two movies had allegedly colluded to share the market by scheduling different dates for release of their respective movies resulting in controlling the supply of movies in the market and contravening the provisions of Section 3 of the Competition Act. Section 3 pertains to anti-competitive agreements. Zendaya to star in HBO's pilot 'Euphoria'

Actor-singer Zendaya has been cast as the lead in the pilot of "Euphoria", HBO has announced. The network had given an order for pilot to the potential series in March. It is based on Israeli series of the same name. Zendaya will portray the role of Rue, a lying drug-addicted 17-year-old girl in the series, which will be helmed by Augustine Frizzell, reported Deadline. Veteran actor Shabana Azmi has apologised to railways for tweeting a video tagging minister Piyush Goyal and the railway ministry that purportedly showed workers, whom she had mistaken to be railway staffers, washing dishes in dirty water.
