Stephen Fry, Emma Thompson join 'Missing Link'

Actors Emma Thompson and Stephen Fry have joined Hugh Jackman and Zach Galifianakas in LAIKA's stop-motion film "Missing Link". The film's title, release date and complete cast details were revealed by LAIKA president & CEO Travis Knight in a statement. The movie follows the four films - "Kubo and the Two Strings", "The Boxtrolls", "ParaNorman" and "Coraline" - from the studio. Directed by Chris Butler, the film also stars Zoe Saldana, Timothy Olyphant, Matt Lucas, David Walliams, Ching Valdez-Aran and Amrita Acharia. The film follows Sir Lionel Frost (voiced by Hugh Jackman) who embarks on a journey to America's Pacific Northwest to prove the existence of a legendary creature the Missing Link (voiced by Zach Galifianakis). 'Kedarnath' to arrive in theatres on November 30

"Kedarnath", featuring Sushant Singh Rajput and newcomer Sara Ali Khan in the lead, is all set to hit the cinema halls on November 30. The film has been directed by Abhishek Kapoor. The news comes after the project was long embroiled in a legal battle with former producer Prernaa Arora's banner KriArj Entertainment. Now Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP is on board the film with Kapoor's Guy In The Sky pictures. This is their second collaboration after "Kai Po Che!". The director took to Instagram to make the announcement. Ranveer Singh may have 'out-crassed' his Canadian counterpart when it comes to cussing in "Deadpool 2" but Ryan Reynolds proved that no one is better than him when it comes to delivering witty one-liners. Ranveer has dubbed for Reynolds' character of a expletive-spouting, anti-hero Deadpool in the Hindi version of the sequel and the actor tweeted about how rewarding it was to use foul language. Kate Winslet, Willem Dafoe join 'Manou the Swift'

Actors Kate Winslet and Willem Dafoe have been roped in as the lead voice cast of upcoming animated movie 'Manou the Swift'.The actors, who will be performing together for the first time, will be voicing the seagull parents of an adopted swift called Manou, reports Variety.In the film, Manou attempts to emulate his seagull parents by diving into the sea and trying to catch fish, but fails. But when the seagulls and the swifts get into trouble, Manou "fights like a hero - the best mix of an inventive swift and courageous seagull," according to a statement.The film, which has been directed by Christian Haas and Andrea Block, is set for a theatrical release at the end of this year.

Ewan McGregor to star in 'The Cow'

Actor Ewan McGregor will star in the remake of French classic tragicomedy "The Cow and I". The new film, titled "The Cow", will be helmed by "World War Z" director Marc Foster and the script has been penned by Bill Prady, reported Variety. The original film, released in 1959, followed a French prisoner of war in World War II forced to work on a farm in Germany who decides to escape by walking away with a cow. In the English-language remake, McGregor will portray the role of Charlie Granger, an American pilot who joined the Royal Air Force during World War II, taking part in bombing runs over Germany. When Granger's plane is shot down and he is imprisoned in a farm, his escape plan involves a fake pass and a cow called Marguerite. Together, the pair makes for France, which is around 200 miles away, trying to evade German soldiers, inhospitable terrain and an amorous bull. Actor Jeffrey Tambor has once again denied sexual harassment allegations against him but has admitted that he was difficult to work with on the set of "Transparent". In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the 73-year-old actor, who was fired from the Amazon show show after transgender actor Trace Lysette and his former assistant Van Barnes accused him of sexual misconduct. Anjali Patil is a multilingual artiste - she understands Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam pretty well. She has dubbed in Sinhalese, voiced for her own role in Rajnikanth's "Kaala" in Tamil and is currently learning the "sensuous" Spanish. "By the end of two months, I hope I'll be fluent in it. I started with French but somehow I could not get on with it. Then I thought I'll try something else and if I feel I'll come back to it. Spanish is sensuous. Chewbacca will get his own theme music, says Ron Howard

"Solo: A Star Wars Story" director Ron Howard has revealed Han Solo's companion, Wookiee warrior Chewbacca, will have his own theme music in the film. Composer John Powell has created a special song for Chewbacca. "John Williams himself suggested that John Powell would be a great candidate to not only use the classic Star Wars themes, but also the new theme that John Williams himself wrote for Han Solo. John Powell wrote a lot of great themes, including the first-ever Chewbacca theme," Howard said in a Q&A session on Twitter. Sherlock Holmes 3 is officially happening

"Avengers: Infinity War" star Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law are officially returning for the third and possibly final "Sherlock Holmes" film. Warner Bros and Village Roadshow have announced that the third part in the series will release on December 25, 2020, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Downey, 53, played the famed British detective Sherlock Holmes in the series while Law, 45, portrayed his famous sidekick Dr Watson. The duo have till now appeared in the films "Sherlock Holmes" (2009) and "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows" (2011). Both the films were helmed by Guy Ritchie and there is no news yet whether the director is coming back for the third part or not. West Bengal Governor K N Tripathi has recalled his meetings with late classical singer Girija Devi and said she is the 'Voice of India' who took different streams of classical vocal music to a new height. The singer, who died here last year at the age of 88, was a maestro in classical gharana, who had equal command on 'ghazal' and 'bhajan' and other forms of classical music apart from 'thumri', Tripathi said after launching a book 'Pranam Appa' - a tribute to the Padma Vibhushan recipient here last evening.
