Martin Freeman to star in 'The Operative'

Actor Martin Freeman is set to star opposite Diane Kruger in espionage-thriller "The Operative". Yuval Adler is directing the project, reported Deadline. Adler has adapted the screenplay from the Israeli best-seller, "The English Teacher", written by former Israeli intelligence officer Yiftach Reicher Atir. The film follows Rachel (Kruger), a rogue spy from Israel's feared national intelligence force Mossad, who vanishes without a trace while attending her father's funeral in London. The only clue to her whereabouts is a cryptic phone call she places to her former handler Thomas (Freeman), who is then summoned from Germany to Israel by Mossad. With Rachel's life immersed in her assignments as part of a vast espionage effort against Iran's nuclear program, Thomas must retrace her steps to determine what threats she may now pose to their operation, while also working to protect her. Filming is slated to begin next month in Israel and Bulgaria.

'Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom' to release early in India

Filmmaker Subhash Ghai says there are many good actors today, like Ranbir Kapoor and Varun Dhawan, who can take star in the remake of his 1989 film "Ram Lakhan". Rohit Shetty was earlier supposed to helm the "Ram Lakhan" remake, to be produced by Karan Johar. It has been currently put on hold. Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor has signed on to appear in a never seen before avatar of a dacoit in the upcoming Yash Raj Films movie 'Shamshera'.The 35-year-old actor will be working with the production house after a gap of nine years. Ranveer Singh to voice Deadpool in Hindi

Actor Ranveer Singh will be the voice of superhero Deadpool in the the Hindi version of the much-awaited film's sequel. The Fox Star Studios movie, which features Ryan Reynolds in the titular role, is set to hit the screens in India on May 18. "Like Deadpool, Ranveer is known for his smart, witty with irreverent humour. He's a hugely daring and powerhouse actor and we absolutely relished having him on board for our biggest super-hero film," Vijay Singh, CEO Fox Star Studios, said in a statement. The film and the Hindi Trailer will be A-rated as the makers are sticking to the tone and irreverence of the English film.
