Madhuri Dixit Nene, who is making her acting debut in Marathi cinema with "Bucket List", says doing a film in her native language was always on her wish list. "My bucket list is always expanding. Filmmaker Karan Johar says regional cinema is showing immense growth and he would like to back more films in different languages. Karan, through his banner Dharma Productions, made a successful foray into Telugu cinema with "Baahubali" and "The Ghazi Attack" and upcoming film "Bucket List" is his first step in Marathi cinema. Veteran actor John Lithgow has boarded the cast of "Pet Sematary" remake. The film is an adaptation of Stephen King's 1983 novel of the same name, which was also the basis for a 1989 feature film. "The Crown" actor will play Jud Crandall, a kindly neighbour to a big city family that moves into the country, in the film, according to The Hollywood Reporter. "Everest" star Jason Clarke is already aboard the project and will be portraying the role of Louis Creed, which was portrayed by Dale Midkiff in the 1989 movie. The story follows Creed, who tries to bring back his dead son by placing him to rest in an Indian burial ground but it does not go according to plan. Filmmaker duo Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kolsch will direct the film with a script from Jeff Buhler, reported Variety. Director Patty Jenkins will receive the 2018 Women In Motion award during the Cannes Film Festival. The "Wonder Woman" helmer will receive the honour from festival president Pierre Lescure, artistic director Thierry Fremaux, and Francois-Henri Pinault, president and CEO of luxury goods firm Kering, which is behind the initiative. According to the organisers, Jenkins is being honoured this year in recognition of the fact that her work has enabled significant progress to be made in the fight for gender equality. The presentation will take place at a Women in Motion dinner on May 13. It will be the fourth edition of Women in Motion, which is part of the film festival's official program. Previous winners of the award include Jane Fonda, Geena Davis, Susan Sarandon and Isabelle Huppert. "Wonder Woman" was the highest-grossing summer movie of 2017. After the success of "Peter Rabbit", Sony Pictures is planning a sequel to the CG/live-action hybrid film. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the studio plans to make the sequel, which will once again be written and helmed by Will Gluck, with a release date of March 27, 2020. In the original film, popular TV host James Corden voiced the titular character who battles with the heir to Mr McGregor's garden. The film also starred Rose Byrne as Bea, Domhnall Gleeson as Thomas McGregor, Sam Neill, Daisy Ridley, Elizabeth Debicki and Margot Robbie.
