Novoneel Chakraborty's 'The Stranger Trilogy' now a web series

Fiction writer Novoneel Chakraborty's "The Stranger" trilogy will be brought to life, with a new adaptation as a romantic thriller web series, publisher Penguin Random House has announced. Pop star Lorde has apologised for her tone-deaf Instagram post which appeared to reference the death of Whitney Houston. The post included a photo of a bath tub along with the caption, "And iiii will always love you", the lyrics of a popular song by Houston. Houston, 48, had died in 2012 when she accidentally drowned in a bathtub in Los Angeles. Three years later, her daughter, Bobbi Kristina, also died in a similar manner. After angry fans lashed out at the Kiwi singer, she deleted the post and issued an apology in an Instagram Story. "Extremely extremely poorly chosen quote," she wrote. Japan anime giant Takahata dead at 82

Oscar-nominated Japanese anime director Isao Takahata, who co-founded Studio Ghibli and was best known for his work "Grave of the Fireflies", has died aged 82, the studio said today. The winner of many awards domestically and internationally, Takahata was considered one of the greats of Japanese animated film and is often linked with long-term Studio Ghibli collaborator Hayao Miyazaki. He enjoyed a career spanning several decades, producing both films and work for the small screen and his latest production, "The Tale of the Princess Kaguya", earned him an Academy nomination for best animated feature.
