Actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar has 'permanently' quit social networking site Facebook.The move, it seems, follows the shocking reports of Facebook's data breach.Without mentioning the reason, the 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' star took to Twitter to inform his fans and followers about his decision."Good morning. This is to inform you all that I have permanently deleted my personal Facebook account. However, the verified FarhanAkhtarLive page is still active," he tweeted on Tuesday.For the unversed, Cambridge Analytica, the political data firm with ties to United States President Donald Trump's 2016 election campaign, is under fire for allegedly gaining access to private information of more than 50 million Facebook users, and influencing elections by using this stolen data.

Actor Abhay Deol says he would love to work with his family members but is not sure if he could act perfectly in front of his uncle, veteran actor Dharmendra. Abhay says he is very choosy about the films he does and if a subject comes along which requires him with his brothers Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, and uncle Dharmendra, he would read the script even more diligently. Actor Abhay Deol says the cast of "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara" is ready for a sequel but director Zoya Akhtar has to come up with a story. Delhi HC directs DMRC to pay Rs 306 cr to Reliance Infrastructure subsidiary - DAMEPL

The Court passed an order to this effect on 23 March 2018 in response to an execution petition filed by DAMEPL under Section 36 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking to enforce the arbitral award dated 11 May 2017. DAMEPL had filed the petition after an earlier petition by DMRC challenging the Arbitral Award was dismissed by the Hon'ble Delhi HC on 06 March 2018. Following Hon'ble HC order, the banks are expected to get Rs. 306 crore from DMRC.

Former Radio Jockey hacked to death in Kerala

A former Radio Jockey and a folk singer, was hacked to death while another person was injured in an attack by a four-member gang at Madavoor in the district early today, police said. The deceased, Rajesh (34) was a former RJ with a private FM channel. Rajesh along with his friend had gone to a programme and were taking rest in their office when the attack took place, as per preliminary information, police said.

Actor Gina Rodriguez, who was voicing the title character in Netflix's "Carmen Sandiego" animated series, is now set to star in the live-action version. The "Jane the Virgin" star will feature in and produce the movie through her I Can and I Will Productions, alongside producers Kevin Misher and Caroline Fraser. Kevin Bacon to star in, produce horror-thriller 'You Should Have Left'

Kevin Bacon is set to produce and star in the horror-thriller "You Should Have Left", with David Koepp attached to direct from his own scrip. Blumhouse Productions is planning to start the filming later this year, reported Variety. The project is based on Daniel Kehlmann's novel, which revolves around a screenwriter in a remote house in the Alps working on a sequel to his hit film. The writer begins to lose his bearings thanks to unexplained occurrences. The book was published in 2017. Blumhouse scored big last year with "Get Out" and "Split," both of which were low-cost horror projects that became box office sensations.

Whoopi Goldberg joins Tiffany Haddish in comedy 'The List'

Veteran actor-comedienne Whoopi Goldberg is set to star along side Tiffany Haddish in Tyler Perry's comedy "The List". Perry is directing and producing the project from his own script, reported Variety. Paramount Players has already set a November 2 release date for the film. Haddish will portray a wild woman who gets released from prison and reunites with her sister, played by Tika Sumpter. Sumpter's character is in an online relationship with a man that may be "catfishing" her. Perry made the announcement about the project on ABC's talk show "The View," which Goldberg has moderated for more than a decade.

'Captain Marvel' begins production, adds Clark Gregg and Djimon Hounsou

Filming for Marvel's first female-fronted superhero film "Captain Marvel" has started. To mark the occasion Marvel released a picture of lead actor Brie Larson getting hands-on help from Brigadier General Jeannie Leavitt, 57th Wing Commander. Larson visited the Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada to research for her character. Set for release in the United States on March 8, 2019, the film is directed by the writing/directing team of Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck. "Captain Marvel" marks the 21st movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, following the yet-to-be-released "Avengers: Infinity War" and "Ant-Man and the Wasp."
