Danny Boyle set to direct 'Bond 25'

Oscar-winning filmmaker Danny Boyle has revealed he is working on a script for the next James Bond movie."We are working on a script right now. It all depends on that, really. I am working on a Richard Curtis script at the moment," Boyle said, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter."We've got an idea, John Hodge, the screenwriter, and I have got this idea, and John is writing it at the moment. And it all depends on how it turns out. It would be foolish of me to give any of it away," he added.The 'Trainspotting' director will take the reins from fellow Oscar-winner Sam Mendes, who is quitting the franchise after helming two of its most successful entries, 'Skyfall' and 'Spectre.'The 25th James Bond film is scheduled for release in November, 2019.

Danny Boyle reveals he is working on script for Bond 25

Director Danny Boyle has confirmed that he is developing the next James Bond movie. Boyle, who won the 2009 Best Director Oscar for his India-set "Slumdog Millionaire" and has critically-acclaimed titles such as "Trainspotting" and "127 Hours" to his credit, was top on the list of directors being considered for the next film, which will mark the final appearance of actor Daniel Craig as the famed MI6 spy. The filmmaker confirmed to Metro New York that he is working on the Bond film during special screening of his new FX series "Trust" in New York. "We are working on a script right now. And it all depends on that really. I am working on a Richard Curtis script at the moment. We hope to start shooting that in 6 or 7 weeks. Then Bond would be right at the end of the year. But we are working on them both right now," Boyle said. Dax Shepard joins Netflix comedy 'The Ranch'

Actor Dax Shepard is joining the cast of Netflix's "The Ranch" as a recurring guest star. Shepard, 43, will play the role of Luke Matthews, a former soldier who has come to Garrison with some history concerning the Iron River Ranch, Netflix said in a statement. Luke meets the Bennetts and forms an immediate bond with Colt (played by Ashton Kutcher) and Beau (played by Sam Elliott), but his past has a way of catching up with him. Shepard's casting comes after the departure of series regular Danny Masterson. Masterson, who played Colt's brother, Rooster, was ousted from the show in December amid sexual assault accusations. He has denied all the allegations. "The Ranch" takes place on the fictional Iron River Ranch in the fictitious small town of Garrison, Colorado. It follows the life of the Bennetts, a dysfunctional family consisting of two brothers, their rancher father, and his divorced wife and local bar owner.

Ava DuVernay to helm DC's 'New Gods'

Warner Bros has roped in "A Wrinkle in Time" helmer Ava DuVernay to direct the superhero epic "New Gods". The "New Gods" is based on the DC Comics series of the same name which was created and designed by Jack Kirby, and was first released in 1971, reported Variety. The comic series follows a war between two alien planets -- New Genesis and Apokolips -- arrive on Earth when the ruler of the dystopian Apokolips, Darkseid, discovers that humanity holds the key to the Anti-Life Equation, which allows its user to control all living beings in existence. The 45-year-old director is the second woman, after Patty Jenkins, to helm a superhero film for Warner Bros. Last year, DuVernay had hinted at the possibility of her helming the "New Gods" film after she tweeted that her favourite superhero is Big Barda, a character from the comics series.

A report by the United Nations has declared Finland as the happiest country in the world.The 2018 World Happiness Report highlighted a steady decline in the United States ranking.
