Action and comedy roles are on the wish list of actor Kajal Aggarwal. "I haven't done action before, I would love to do that. Complaint against Papon for kissing minor TV show contestant
Singer Papon has landed in trouble with a complaint of sexual assault being filed against him for kissing a minor contestant of a reality TV show, but he said was being "victimised" for no fault of his as he would "never commit an indecent act". A video has gone viral in which Papon is seen celebrating Holi with the contestants of "Voice India Kids" and planting a kiss on the girl's face. Papon is one of the judges on the show along with fellow singers Shaan and Himmesh Reshammiya. Supreme Court lawyer Runa Bhuyan filed the complaint with the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights against Papon under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) Act. The celebrated tigress of Ranthambore 'Macchli' roared once again, albeit this time it was for 'reel' and not real! The Jawahar Kala Kendra here last evening hosted a special screening of the 60-minute docudrama on the tigress, who died in 2016. Rajasthan Minister for Forest and Environment Gajendra Singh as well as other dignitaries were preset at the screening of the film. Superstar Salman Khan's brother-in-law Aayush Sharma's debut Bollywood film "Loveratri" is set to release on October 5. Salman took to social media to announce the release date of the film. "Loveratri releasing 224 days from today... Batao kya date hai release ki (tell me what is the release date of the film?)" he wrote. Also featuring debutante Warina Hussain, the romantic drama is set against the backdrop of Gujarat. Abhiraj Minawala is directing the film from a script written by Naren Bhatt. Tamil superstar Rajinikanth will join hands with young filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj for his next venture to be produced by Sun Pictures, promoted by media baron Kalanithi Maran. According to Sun news TV channel, part of the Maran-owned Sun group, Rajinikanth's next movie is a "mammoth" production to be directed by Karthik Subbaraj, but did not divulge any other details. Rajinikanth's next film 'Kaala' directed by Pa Ranjith of 'Kabali' fame is due for release in April. His sci-fi movie with popular director Shankar, "2.o" is also in the pipeline. German figure skater Nicole Schott has been widely condemned on social media, after choosing to perform her Winter Olympic routine to the music from Holocaust film 'Schindler's List'.'Schindler's List', a 1993 film, depicts the story of a German factory owner, and his attempts to spare the lives of thousands of Jewish people during the holocaust in World War II.Composer John Williams also won an Academy Award for 'Best Original Score' with his piece "Theme from Schindler's List".However, when Schott opted to perform on the film's music, it did not go down well with some as she was branded insensitive for her choice.It is not the first time the music has been chosen for a figure skating competition, although it is the first instance that a German performed on it in an Olympic.The 21-year-old, however, did not win a medal in the event.

Four-day theatre festival begins in Kolkata
A four-day theatre festival has begun amid much fanfare as leading dramatists from across the country gathered here to present their productions before the Kolkata audience. The first day of the 15th edition of the Vodafone Odeon Theatre Festival witnessed performances by winners of a contest between college groups and budding theatre associations, a statement issued by the organizers said today. The participants were mentored by legendary actor Soumitra Chatterjee and theatre personalities Bratya Basu, Debshankar Haldar, Goutam Haldar, Meghnad Bhattacharya among others, it said. The festival lineup also includes performances by Bollywood actor Sharman Joshi and Marathi theatre and TV personality Tejashri Pradhan at GD Birla Sabhaghar, the statement added. Priyanka Chopra, who featured in one of the advertisement campaigns for Nirav Modi, has terminated her contract with the brand in light of allegations of fraud against billionaire jewellery designer, the actor's spokesperson said today. Earlier this month, the state-owned Punjab National Bank (PNB) said it had detected a Rs 11,400 crore fraud where Nirav Modi allegedly acquired fraudulent letters of undertaking from a branch in Mumbai to secure overseas credit from other Indian lenders. The actor had appeared in the a TV commercial for the brand along with Sidharth Malhotra. "In light of recent allegations, Priyanka Chopra has chosen to terminate her contract with the Nirav Modi brand," Priyanka's spokesperson said in a statement.
