Kat Dennings to star in comedy based on 'How May We Hate You'

Actor Kat Dennings is set to star in ABC's untitled Justin Noble comedy based on the book and blog "How May We Hate You". The single-camera office ensemble comedy revolves around two guest service associates at a high-end resort and the co-workers and guests they are stuck with for eight to 16 hours a day. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Dennings will play Ellie, a guest services specialist who is forced to wear a plastic smile as she deals with hotel clientele. The "2 Broke Girls" alum will also be credited as a producer on the show. Noble has penned the script and will executive produce the comedy, which is a co-production between CBS Television Studios and ABC Studios.

Jonathan Rhys Meyers joins mystery thriller 'Wake Up'

Actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers has been roped in to play the lead role in mystery thriller "Wake Up". According to the Hollywood Reporter, the film marks the directorial debut of Fedor Lyass, the cinematographer who worked on 2015's first-person perspective action project "Hardcore Henry". Lyass will co-direct the movie with Aleksandr Chernyaev from a script written by Elan Zeltser. The film centers around John Doe (Meyers), who wakes in a hospital bed with no recollection of who he is, and soon finds that he is wanted by the police for a series of murders. With the help of his nurse who believes he is innocent, he escapes from the hospital, and together they did for clues to find the true killer. Production on the project is set to start in March.

Scott Eastwood to star in thriller 'Manuscript'

Actor Scott Eastwood is set to star along side Morgan Freeman in thriller "Manuscript". Nick Cassavetes is directing the project replacing John Moore who was announced last year and working from a script by Louis Rosenberg and Joe Rosenbaum.
