Sanitary pads should be free: 'PadMan' Akshay Kumar

Akshay Kumar, who is all set to come up with his next film 'Padman' in the Republic day weekend, feels that sanitary pads should not be tax free, rather free for women.While promoting the movie in Pune, the 50-year-old-actor said, "Women are going for tax free sanitary, but I say it should be completely free. Cut the five percent money from defence, make one bomb less and give it to women to get the sanitary napkin."'Padman' is a biopic based on the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, who makes cheap and affordable sanitary pads for the women of his village and fights for menstrual hygiene.Quirky posters, interesting trailer and some soulful songs have already made fans really curious.Helmed by R. 'Genius' season two to air in April

The second season of anthology period drama TV series "Genius" is all set to air on April 24. The National Geographic show will explore the life of one of the 20th century's most influential and celebrated artistes, Pablo Picasso, Variety reported. Actor Antonio Banderas will play the title role as Picasso in the sophomore season, which will see the Spanish- born painter's passionate nature and unending creative drive. The show will give an insight into his personal life, which included tumultuous marriages, numerous affairs and constantly changing political and personal collaborations. The first season of "Genius" followed the life of Albert Einstein. The series was renewed for a second run last year in April.

Shilpa Shinde, who had a fallout with TV producer Vikas Gupta over her show "Bhabhi Ji Ghar Pe Hai", is open to teaming up with him for a web series but not a daily soap. Academy Award-winning director Claude Lelouch has lost the latest script of his film and 50 years of notes in a theft that took place while he was returning from holidays.According to Deadline, two of his bags were stolen from outside the Paris office of his production company, Les Films 13, on January 2.The robbery took place as Lelouch was exiting his car in front of his production offices in Paris' tony 8th district.
