Amanda Bynes plans to return to acting next year

Actor Amanda Bynes has teased she is willing to return to acting in 2018 but is waiting to find the right role. The 31-year-old actor was last seen in 2010's "Easy A" but her career was sidetracked by two hit-and-runs and a DUI in 2012 as well as being arrested a year later for throwing a bong out of a window. Her lawyer told Page Six, "Amanda is looking forward to ringing in the new year with her close friends this years. In 2018, she looks forward to completing fashion school and dipping her toe back into acting. She has had several offers but is waiting for the right one to come along for a comeback." Bynes is currently studying at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising.

Singer Camila Cabello has revealed that she and her family cried "several times" watching her nostalgic "Never Be the Same" music video, which features clips from poignant moments of her childhood and career. "This is a thank you from the bottom of my heart for always being here for me and for all the memories we've made together this year. I freaking love you all so much and PS my family and I cried several times watching this back. IT'S END OF THE YEAR EMO TIME. (sic)" she tweeted. The music video begins with clips of Cabello's childhood before progressing into clips from the last year since she has gone solo after parting ways with Fifth Harmony.

"My New Year's resolution is to be on my phone less and be more in the moment," Kardashian wrote on her website Meanwhile, the television personality previously revealed she thinks the Paris robber, who targeted her in October 2016, did so because they could track her whereabouts on social media.

Ringo Starr, Bee Gees' Barry Gibb to receive knighthood

The Beatles drummer Ringo Starr and the Bee Gees' Barry Gibb are among the British luminaries that will receive knighthood as part of Queen Elizabeth's annual New Year's Honours. Starr, who in 1965 was knighted along with his bandmates as Members of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE), will again receive an MBE for his "services to music," the British government announced Friday. In a statement to BBC Starr said, "It's great! It's an honour and a pleasure to be considered and acknowledged for my music and my charity work, both of which I love. Peace and love." Gibb, knighted as a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) alongside the Bee Gees in 2004, will receive the "Knights Bachelor" for his "services to music and charity." Her first film "Mohenjo Daro" may have bombed at the box office, but actor Pooja Hegde says she intends to play good roles on-screen and keep working hard. "Mohenjo Daro", written and directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, released in 2016 and starred Hrithik Roshan and Pooja in the lead roles. The much-awaited film failed to click at the ticket window and was panned by the critics as well. However, the 27-year-old actor, who made her debut with the movie, says a film's failure is hard on a newcomer. "When a film doesn't do well, it kind of sets you back. Par panel asks I&B ministry to consider separate regulator for

A parliamentary panel today asked the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to evaluate the need to have a separate regulator for broadcasting sector, keeping in view its "tremendous growth". The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) at present acts as the watchdog for broadcasting as well as telecom sectors. The Standing Committee on Information and Technology, in its report tabled in the parliament, said the broadcasting sector has seen enormous growth in the number of satellite TV channels with introduction of DTH services, digitisation of cable TV networks, setting up of independent TV rating agency and introduction of FM radio services across the country. In view of the tremendous growth in the broadcasting sector and ever-increasing number of satellite TV channels, the panel said, "the government may undertake evaluation of the need to have a separate regulator for the broadcasting sector".
